PLASTPOL – a success for BOY - Vertical machine in the focus of visitors

1. PLASTCOMPANY Polska Sp. z.o.o. the Polish representative of the German machine manufacturer BOY, achieved a great success at the Plastpol plastics trade fair. The specialist for injection moulding machines with clamping forces of up to 1,250 kN presented an overmoulding machine with a vertical injection unit and its largest machine, a BOY 125 E, in Kielce.

The vertical machine in particular was in the focus of the trade fair visitors. For many years, BOY has been one of the top addresses in terms of overmoulding inserts. The product range of the family-owned company located in Neustadt-Fernthal includes insert moulding machines with clamping forces from 100 kN to max. 600 kN. A uniform design feature of all BOY insert moulding machines is the fixed lower platen, which avoids a shifting of the inserted parts upon closing of the machine. Additionally, the users also appreciate the good working ergonomics of the BOY insert moulding machines - suitable working heights and a compact design offer a small distance to the mould area.

At the booth of the Polish BOY-representative, a BOY 125 E (1,250 kN clamping force) in combination with the BOY LR 5 linear handling system produced cutting pads made of Polypropylene. The handling system developed by BOY has three linear axes as well as pneumatic rotary and swivel axes. Users benefit from both, the simultaneous movements axes and the precise repeat accuracy of the positioning of the axes which is less than ± 0.1 mm.

The trade fair team of the Polish BOY-representation draws a very positive conclusion from its trade fair appearance at Plastpol 2022.
